Update Log

This update includes a new template based on the Verizon Wireless menu (www.verizonwireless.com). The template uses the same structure and similar animations and images, we tweaked the sub item highlights a bit to give it a trail effect.

Top Red Bar - Based on Verizon Wireless

A minor feature update to the script adds an 'excludeClass' property option to the replicator class.

This update includes a new template based on a simple menu bar with various item and sub animations. The animations include a main stretch effect, sub clip, and sub item hover color changes.

New Simple Top Bar Animated Template

A minor feature update to the script applies the 'nfParentLink' class name to links. This simplifies specifying item images in the CSS.

Finally, a new site! The new web site is the first ground up redesign in quite a while. We have been working hard for many months on brand new software (NodeFire Library), site layout and content, better licensing terms, and improved user communication and involvement. The changes are substantial and we hope they work to better serve you.

Our current focus moving forward is templates for the new NodeFire Library, plus additional widgets and API code. QuickMenu will continue to recieve updates, and we anticipate that it will remain a popular site navigation solution. NodeFire is not ment to be a replacement for QuickMenu, rather an alternative (a more robust solution targeted towrad hand coders vs. visual designers).

This is the official final v1.0 release of the new NodeFire library! Beta testing revealed very few issues, the library has been rock solid and virtually bug free when building templates and working with the API.

This major version update is cumulative since 7.0 up through 7.35 and includes new friendly license terms which coincide with the new OpenCube site launch. If you own 7.35 you will not need to upgrade yet, 8.0 only adds a few minor bug fixes to the actual functionality of the software. We primarily moved to 8.0 to help distinguish between the new and old license models.

New QuickMenu License Terms

This update includes a new mega subs template with sticky main items and a image opacity animation. (see 'template_megaSubs1.html' in the download). A minor update to the opacity animations for IE was added to the API script.

This update includes a new template with animated accordian style main items. Main items stretch to match the width of their parent subs when activated. (see 'template_horizontalStretch1.html' in the download).

This update includes a new horizontal sub template which uses multiple menu objects to create a sticky main with hover subs. (see 'template_horizontalSub1.html' in the download).

This update includes a new vertical implementation template (see 'template_vertical.html' in the download). We are currently adding implementations as part of our internal testing and product development. We are seeking additional feedback from beta users. The API JavaScript remains solid and unchanged for this release.

New Vertical Template

This is the first public release of the NodeFire Library API. The software is from the ground up a brand new initiative. The vision for the product is to fill the navigation API void by offering a feature rich, quality menu and animation solution tailored for home page performance.

This initial beta lays a foundation for future widgets and starts things off with an extensively detailed and feature focused navigation menu. Movie production style animation classes move and change any possible numeric or color style property in your documents and widgets. Also included is a host of base style classes which will come in handy with your every day coding tasks.
